Above: The 2019-2020 NOW Bindings Range
Brainchild of legendary stomper and Wildcat JF Pelchat, NOW bindings have really revolutionised the snowboard binding game. Based around Skate Tech, the bindings utilise a kingpin which acts as a fulcrum and offers insane amounts of response through the hangar and heaps of control from the bushings. The super responsive tech means you don’t need to crank your straps down and translates into a really surfy-skate feel while riding.

New for 2019 you’ve got the Brigada, a chick’s version of the Brigade. The Brigada is a more freestyle focused snowboard binding, with a super soft highback for getting radical with your park riding and means you can get really tweaky with your presses and butters. It’s nice to see companies listening to the feedback of the public, and responding by coming out with a world class women’s freestyle binding that’s set to make waves in the industry.

NOW have pumped out another run of their YES colab, which is looking really hot. They’ve also teamed up with California cruisers Captain Fin, for a tidy little collab project. Both companies are made by riders, for riders, and it’s cool to see likeminded companies breaking barriers and coming together despite the difference in their sports. NOW is a rider-owned company, that is dedicated to improving snowboarding through their products and beliefs, and so far they’ve done a pretty damn good job at it.
