Hailing from the Land Down Under, Yuki Threads puts a refreshingly honest spin on their products and manufacturing processes. Ladies looking for a stylish yet ethically and sustainably produced snowboard jacket are going to be very pleased with the Meadows Jacket.

A lot of brands have been quick to pick up on sustainable manufacturing and sustainable products, even more so in 20/21. Marketing yourself as a sustainable brand is slowly becoming a must in order to keep the consumers happy, but when a brand does the opposite, claiming to not be sustainable, we got intrigued.

“Hailing from the Land Down Under, Yuki Threads puts a refreshingly honest spin on their products and manufacturing processes”

“We’re not sustainable. Sustainability to us is the ability to replace a resource as fast as you are taking it and with a full view of a supply chain and company, we don’t feel this is achievable.” – Yuki Snowboards.

We hear you guys, however, we think you should give yourself a bit of credit. The Meadows Jacket does alright all things considered. It is, for example, 100% made out of recycled polyester canvas and the eco-friendly DWR coating they’ve used is Fluorocarbon free.

The waterproof/breathability rating is high enough for you to wear it on shorter backcountry excursions (the styling on it means you can definitely rock out with it in the resort). The C0 DWR coating is good quality, as the rating shows that the jacket remained 80% water-free in a spray test after 10 washes.

The jacket is stacked with a bunch of cool features. There’s one pocket that keeps your lift pass safe and a chest pocket for whatever media device you choose to bring along. For added comfort, the arms have been tailored for a more ergonomic fit, while the fully taped seams keep the water out.

Yuki Thread’s Meadow Jacket is a big favourite amongst our team, and we can’t wait to see what the brand has in store for the future. Pair up the jacket with the equally sustainable Meadows Bibs and you’ll be good to go.

The model in the photo 5’4” (164cm) tall and wearing size S.
