A newcomer for this year’s Whitelines Buyer’s Guide are the Aussie based brand Yuki Threads. Even though they’ve been around since 2010, Yuki Threads caught our eye this year with their interesting brand story and quality products. The Yuki Threads Meadow Bib is a fine example of what the brand is about and why, in all honesty, we think they’re cool.

First of all, we love how the brand is taking a different marketing approach by claiming they aren’t sustainable. Despite this, all of the fabrics and fill they use are bluesign approved. They’ve also put a self-imposed environmental tax on themselves, donating 1% of their sales to environmental grassroots organisations.

“The Meadow Bib pants are made of 100% recycled PET bottles”

The Meadow Bib pants are made of 100% recycled PET bottles. So, instead of the plastic bottles ending up in landfill and polluting the earth further they are being recycled and given a second life. For both the lining and the 40g insulation in the legs they’ve used 100% recycled nylon. Despite what they say, we’d argue Yuki Threads are definitely doing their bit.

The Meadow Bib isn’t lacking in style either. The slim fitted design sits right next to your skin without restricting movement, thanks to the ergonomically tailored knees.

It’s not all about the looks, and knowing that the bib does a fine job in repelling water thanks to their 15K waterproofing, eco-friendly DWR coating and fully taped seams, is a plus. You won’t have to worry about freezing in these things either, as the insulation in the legs will keep the blood flow going nicely.

If you’re on the hunt for a good looking, well-performing pair of snowboard pants that do better than alright when it comes to respecting Mother Nature’s future well-being, the Yuki Threads Meadow Bib might be your answer. Pair it up with the Meadows jacket, and you’ll be ready to take on the world quite frankly.

The model in the photo 5’4” (164cm) tall and wearing size S.
