‘Deeply Rooted’ is a movie highlighting Quebecois legend DCP’s long and fruitful career in the snowboard industry. From his roots in Quebec with the 418 crew, moving out west and storming the Whistler scene or setting up one of the most successful snowboard companies in the world, DCP has done it all.
“DCP and his crew inspired a whole generation of French-Canadian riders to get out there and get after it”
DCP and his crew inspired a whole generation of French-Canadian riders to get out there and get after it. Whether you were into street riding, pipe or backcountry, there was someone you could look up to and aspire to be like.
Heading back to the east coast to Le Valinouët where it all started with some of his OG 418 crew you get to see the place that DCP fell in love with snowboarding back in 1991. It’s cool to see DCP’s love of his home resort and getting back there with a heavy crew and blasting the hill. Despite traveling the world as a professional snowboarder, hitting some of the best spots known to man, there’s always something special about your hometown.

Hitting up Colorado with his family to see them ripping up the hill there we get to see the family man side of DCP. When both your parents are pro riders, you’re bound to end up being a pretty damn cool kid. They’re now settled in British Columbia but still spend a bunch of time chilling and surfing in Costa Rica.
Also featuring Mark Tremblay, Madison Ellsworth, Simon Martel, Frank Bourgeois, Guillaume Brochu and David Melançon. The film was filmed and edited by Brian Hockenstein. Other filmers include Ritchie Colasanti, Brothers factory, Margarita Salyak and the riders.
