X Games Real Snow 2016 – All The Edits

X Games’ Real Snow stunt-boarding madness is back for 2016!

Everyone’s favourite super-sized urban feature show has hit screens once more, with a collection of six (up one from five in 2015) minute-forty long edit blasts for you to try and comprehend, while thinking ‘jeeez, I’d never hit that in a million years’.

As well as the official X Games medal winners (announced 12th March) public voting has made a comeback for this season with a “one-round, winner-take-all cage match” (presumably issues have now been ironed out after the 2014 controversy), and you can now vote once every day (until March 13th) for your favourite rider. We’ve watched the lot now, and it’s honestly a tough call…

Scroll down for all the action from Cole Navin, Anto Chamberland, Dylan Thompson, Zak Hale, Frank Bourgeois and Jake Welch. Other than Dylan T, it’s a completely fresh line-up, and these fellas have certainly stepped up to the plate.

Cole Navin

Cole Navin’s a pretty new name in our books, but that hasn’t stopped him putting out one of the most original parts in the collection. Think Scotty Stevens one-foot/no binding game meets even more development and variation onto rails. Plus hippy jumping, a rad wallride opener, tunnel flipping, and an intentional heel edge catch that would scare the shit out of any sane man…

Anto Chamberland

Stunning at times, Montreal’s Anto Chamberland brings a few spots that may be familiar to Shredtopia fans. Watch out for the spikey close-out rail, rock steady multi-kink hits, a front blunt to switch drop-in, and much much more…

Dylan Thompson

As always, Dylan Thompson produces the goods. Gnarly multi-storey features and more high-rail drop-down combos than you can count. With Dan Brisse absent from this year’s comp, Dylan certainly is one of the riders filling the gap with extra-mad spots to compensate.

Zak Hale

Regular Burton rail heavyweight, Zak Hale doesn’t hesitate to take speed into a feature. He’s used his time on a collection of board bending rail transfers, ultra-long front boardslides and ‘natural’ rainbow rail spots. Tackling each one with apparent ease…

Frank Bourgeois

Frank Bourgeois is relentless. This part doesn’t let up until the job is well and truly finished, and it’s already been receiving wide acclaim. All the spots are monster, and the dude clearly isn’t afraid of getting inverted on some burly features. Miller flips, massive multi-kinks, high rails and one hell of an ender, this has it all…

Jake Welch

Plagued by heavy heel bruises from the beastly transfer attempt that you’ll see at the start of his part, Jake may have had a month out from snowboarding, but he still managed to compile a heap of hammers in time. The front board up 270 is a treat, and considering that big impacts can’t have been too comfy, there are some beastly gaps included too.
