Back in may we announced that TTR bosses Terje and Reto Lamm had emerged from their annual meeting with the idea of creating the official World Snowboard Championships, to read the full press release click the link here. Over the summer, plans have been put in place for the inaugral “Core” competition to take place in 2012, and Norway have just agreed to host it at the Tryvann Vinterpark in Oslo. This can only be good news for the competition, as last year this was the venue for the Arctic Challenge which saw some of the most incredible slopestyle runs in the history of our dear sport – watch Peetu blow Torstein and Mikkel out of the Tryvann Vinterpark here
