Lift tickets in Vogel are dirt cheap as is, but they even offer several discounted passes for different groups. If you’re with an organised group of 10 or more, you get a special price, children under 6 go free, and you get further discounted price for seniors and youth. Families get a special deal as well, at this point, they’re basically giving lift passes away. The prices go down even further outside of high season, which is before 21st December or after 17th March. It’s also one of Eastern Europe’s most snowsure resorts, so you’re generally all good to plan a spring trip over to work on your hectic goggle tan.

With 22km of pistes, Vogel isn’t the worlds hugest resort, it might be more suited to the long weekend trip that you sneak in when Europe gets a last-minute flurry of snow. There’s a nice mix of gentle beginner slopes, and a few more gnarly sections, and it even boasts some impressive side country. It does, however, have one of the best parks in Slovenia, with a mix of kickers, rails and boxes there’s enough to have a good time messing around. It even has a beginner line, so if you’re looking to learn a bit of freestyle in a more relaxed environment, then it’s a perfect spot.

In short, Vogel is a great option for a nice trip out the slopes without breaking the bank, there’s enough variety to suit a mixed group of riders, and it’ll be probably one of the cheapest trips you’ll take. We reckon Vogel is the perfect resort for a family looking to take a trip that they won’t have to trade their first born to pay for, it’s mellow enough for a complete beginner, but it’s not so flat that an experienced rider is gonna be tearing their hair out in boredom. It’d also be a really good shout for a sneaky weekender with your crew, razzing around Slovenia, tearing up the slopes and getting up to your eyeballs in cheap Eastern European beer.
