Last month James Stentiford scored one of the most significant results for a British rider in recent years by taking 3rd place at the prestigious Verbier Xtreme, the final stop on the Nissan Freeride World Tour. While most of us will never know the feeling of melting it down the Bec des Rosses as well as this, James’ helmet cam footage gets us that bit closer to the experience:
This is gnarly: it’s the kind of thing you might watch from behind your fingers if you didn’t already know that James not only got down safely, but took a deserving spot on the podium as well. Let’s not forget that 39-year-old Stenti was the first one down the face! Crazy, inspiring stuff. Check out the heli footage of his run if you haven’t already.
