http://mpora.com/videos/D8hBOUg9V The Swatch Freeride Tour descended on the small Norwegian town of Roldal last week amid confusion over which face to ride. Riders and organisers were faced with tough decisions over whether to continue with the competition because of a very unstable snowpack. Nerves were clearly apparent following the recent death of Jim Jack, who was very well known on the Freeride World Tour and who was lost in an avalanche two weeks ago.
However, organisers eventually decided to let the event go ahead on a different face. In the mens events, Flo Orley made the most of the limited face with a smooth and technical run, dropping off every cliff he could find, to take first place while Margot Rozies rode hard and fast to push her ahead of the rest of her field to win the womens event.
