That name controversy aside, we’ve really got to hand it to the Big B – ‘Standing Sideways‘ really is a fantastic snowboard movie. Their global team is so sickeningly good that even the joint jib and park parts are super memorable, and every single individual part, from the legendary to the underrated is a banger.
Here is Jussi Oksanen‘s part and as you’d expect it doesn’t disappoint. The Finnish veteran has had more video parts than we can count, including the end section in the final Mack Dawg movie ‘Double Decade’ and a part in ‘TB8’ that won him the Transworld Rider’s Poll Part of the Year in 1999. Add to that four X-Games Medals plus gold at this year’s Real Snow Backcountry contest and you can see why Jussi is a true snowboarding legend. And by the looks of things he’s showing no signs of slowing down. His spins are as huge, smooth and as technical as ever – that backside seven to close out the section (and the movie) is just something else – plus, it’s SWITCH! Epic epic epic.
