Spotlight is a series of interviews shining a light on some of snowboarding’s finest. Together with a video edit – catering for minimal attention spans – we’ve got a list of ‘Top Threes’ that wrestle with the burning questions of our time, from ‘how to survive a zombie apocalypse’ to ‘all-time favourite snowboard films’.
Fourth up in our ‘Spotlight’ series is Thomas Feurstein. Hailing from the Schruns, Montafon, in the Austrian Alps, this Freeride World Tour star has been strapped to a board for nearly two decades now – and with the alps in your backyard, it’s no wonder this Thomas Feurstein is the snow-junkie he is.

Most of us would embrace that once the snowy mountains have turned to green meadows, it’s time for us to let our snowboard hibernate. Thomas Feurstein, however, makes it his mission to scout through the green mountains to find whatever little bits of snow there is left for him to ride down while keeping the rest of us entertained with some quality social content throughout the summer. And to be fair, when you’ve got the alps at an arm’s reach, why not make the most of it.
