It’s people who make snowboarding. NOMADS profiles the characters and crews that deserve a closer look, starting with London’s own Sparrow Knox.
The worst thing about snowboarding? The summers. After autumn’s gradual surge turns into the crescendo of winter, only a couple of months later it’s spring which, in turn, fades back into colour and leaves us longing for that blank canvas once more.
Unless, that is, you’re like Sparrow Knox: totally in the moment. Summer/winter, skateboarding/snowboarding, it all weaves seamlessly into the rich tapestry of his life. Creating stories, spinning tales, forever on the move.
Like his avian namesake, it all spins round one place – London – from where Sparrow darts hither and thither, soaking up every last drop of existence.
