One Snowboarding, the company run by Dan Wakeham and Hamish McKnight, has announced the dates of its summer camps. For two weeks in July, the boys will be leading a crew up to the glacier park in Deux Alpes to work on their freestyle skills. They’ll be running two freestyle camps, from July 3rd-10th and July 10th-17th, for those who want to keep their riding legs on over the summer.
As Dan is a former Olympian and Hamish has been coaching the UK freestyle team for years, the quality of the coaching will be second to none. On top of this, the guys will be organising a range of sick activities in the afternoons for campers. Dan said: “We chose Les Deux Alpes for its excellent range of on and off hill activities. On the glacier, there is a huge park and back-to-back pipes, and afternoons in the town will consist of, football, volleyball, swimming, golf, mountain biking and tennis – along with some chilling in the jacuzzi and fun BBQ’s.”
Alongside the public camps Dan and Hamish will also be running a freestyle development camp – meaning that campers will have the chance to shred alongside some of the UK’s top rising talents. Personally, we can’t think of many better ways to spend July than with a few summer shred sessions in the mountains, and working on those tricks that still eluded you at the end of the season.
