We’ve already seen mix tapes from the likes of Aimee Fuller (for hammering the park) and Robin Van Gyn (for cruising through pow fields).
Now British halfpipe pro Dom Harington is giving us his tunes to get you psyched for a big night out, complete with jager bombs and really bad dancing. Alongside being a damn fine rider, Dom’s a seriously good scratch DJ in his own right. His mixes include everything from a bit of funk to dubstep and hip hop (scroll down to see for yourself). In the past, he’s played sets at Freeze, Boardmasters, Windfest and The Brits, so this man’s music is worth checking out.
Here’s the specially prepared mix he’s made for Whitelines readers with a few words below from the man himself about why he’s chosen these tunes:
“It’s a bit all over the place genre-wise, but it kinda works in a strange way if you listen to it in this order. I don’t know how anyone can be into just one type of music because everything has its own time and place. I went through a phase of looking for deep house tunes recently, but then randomly bought the Gravity X album by Truckfighters and now can’t stop listening to that. Obviously, there’s a couple of hip hop tracks on there, since that’s the music I’ve loved since I got my turntables when I was 12. Oh, and it starts with The Warriors song, but I don’t really know why. Enjoy!”
