We’re had word from the guys over at Douk Snowboards that they’re looking to hire an apprentice at their factory.
The only facility of its kind in the country, Douk is a grassroots organisation that works in a small team – but they’re now in a position to make that team a little bigger. Training in all aspects of the board-making process is provided, but it’s safe to say a passion for both snowboarding and quality craftsmanship will be a good start.
The closing date is 28th March 2016 – Read the press release in full below, then click here to apply.
APPRENTICE SNOWBOARD BUILDER REQUIRED
The UK’s only Snowboard builders are looking for a new apprentice to join the growing company and to learn the entire trade of snowboard manufacturing from the ground up and become an essential member of the DOUK manufacturing team. Possibly the first position of its kind ever within the UK.
Based in our factory in the heart of the Cotswolds; close to Evesham; DOUK are looking for a hardworking and talented individual to join the expanding team and become an integral part of the companies’ story and future.
With growth into new markets and disciplines the company needs an apprentice to train and develop to become a highly skilled snowboard maker across every aspect of the production process. The applicant will be trained in all areas of graphic production, printing processes, timber work, construction and an extensive line of other skills that will see them becoming both an asset to the future of the company and any future career they may wish to pursue beyond winter sports.
We believe this is the first time this opportunity has ever arisen within the UK and believe that it will be an exciting and inspiring position for a long term career within the industry.
