So apparently Torstein Horgmo is as handy with a GoPro as he is with his snowboard (he must have read our essential action cam guide). Here he is with his Shredbots crew at what appears to be the new pre-season destination of choice for park riding: Perisher, Australia.
Spring time seems to be the best way to warm up for the Northern hemisphere’s winter – Seb Toots threw out a Perisher edit only a couple of weeks ago – and with the two first official contests of the ‘circuit’ down taking place on Aussie snow they can even get somebody else to pay their flight down there. Banger mate!
This wee edit shows Torstein following fellow Nords through the Playstaion Park (those with long skate memories will reminisce on when that was in London) – Brage Richenberg, Markus Kleveland, Jye Kearney, Aleks Ostreng and Mons Røisland to be exact.
By now there should be no doubt that the Norwegians crush it and none more than the man himself – Torstein steps back in front of the lens from 1.18 onwards and – armed with those strange Oakley shades Stale Sandbech has so much affection for – proceeds to style out everything in his path. The back 180 at 1.42 is of particular note: special.
