Why we chose the Rome Stale Crewzer Snowboard: Stale’s daily driver? Shotgun!
Having your own pro model tends to rubber-stamp your status as a true legend in the game, but when you get three snowboards and a set of bindings bearing your name, you’ve truly become a God amongst men. The Stale Crewzer is Sandbech’s most versatile, all-mountain deck in his signature quiver, fired up for park laps and pow lines alike. Whether you’re looking to drop into the jump line, or drop into a backcountry chute, this one’s well worth dipping into your pockets for.
Every all-mountain board worth its salt knows that the shape and profile are where the majority of their versatility comes from. Rather than trying to fit a square peg in a round hole, Rome have kept to their tried and tested Fusion Camber tucked inside a directional twin outline.
“When you get three snowboards and a set of bindings bearing your name, you’ve truly become a God amongst men”
There’s a mid-body camber running through most of the snowboard’s length which delivers edge hold and power when you’re churning up the groomers of launching off features. The small pockets of rocker in the tip and tail increase its ability to float off-piste and keep the ends a bit more playful for pressing on.
Snowboards of this nature are designed with plenty of switch riding in mind and the Crewzer has a twin contact surface area with even tip and tail widths, so it’ll feel totally balanced whichever way you point it.
