Production values aren’t everything – sometimes the rawness of of a video can shine through no matter how grainy the footage, no matter how shaky the follow cam. That’s exactly what this is, 21 minutes of pure joy from some of the youngest shredders on the UK scene.

Salty Roosters are a crew with it’s roots firmly at Snowtrax in Christchurch, but with tentacles reaching out over the UK as far as Garthdee, and with their first ‘full movie’ they present full parts from Billy Cockrell, Rhys Turner, Aidan Lockie, George Waite, Kieran Feltham, Andy Budge, Art Zownir, Brad Rowell, Harry Waite, Jordan Rose, James Waterman, Scott Walsh, Glen Ironside and Ciaran Tucker. Oh, and what might be somone’s dad with the opener.
If you can get past the suspect ‘choons’, the occasional zeach and the odd wonky cam (some shots are so cropped that they might as well be replaced with text reading ‘he did a front board here’), you end up with a real gem – something that shows the love for sliding on carpets and in fridges that’s so unique to our wee island. Brad Rowell, James Waterman, Harry Waite and Scott Walsh are the real standouts, but we urge you to put aside 20 minutes and get this down yer eye holes. And follow more of their adventures here on Facebook.
