Rail to Rodeo vs. Rail to Cliff Drop!

We all know that snowboarding progresses and moves forward in incremental stages every season – double corks, then cab doubles, then SWBS doubles, then triples, then SWBS triples and blah-de-blah-de-blah. But every now and then there’s a trick, or an idea for a trick that really stands out. It may not be the most complex, but it makes you sit up and pay attention. Or to put it in interweb speak, go OMFG WTF?! Here, we have not one, but two of them.

Seriously, have you ever seen a pair of more insane snowboard tricks? First there’s Seb Toots, the French-Canadian boy wonder, riding up a steep-ass handrail and casually popping a backside rodeo off the end, clean as you like.

And then we have Dan Brisse, professional nutter and slayer of everything snowy, pulling a perfect 450-out off a rail. Not so technical, you might think, but how about putting the rail on the edge of a bloody great cliff?! The crazy thing is, both these tricks were stomped in the same week, for the same event – Transworld Snowboarding’s annual Team Shootout comp, which you can watch the full videos of here. The question is, which is better? Which is more progressive? Well, watch them both, and cast your vote below.
