UPDATE: Check out our review of the 2018/2019 Best Park Snowboards here
What makes a good park board? It depends exactly what you want it to do; there’s as much variety going on in there as there is in any sub-category you could name.
It’s true that the vast majority of them are true twin, given how much more likely it is that you’ll be riding switch. Some have an asymmetric element or two, but will feel the same in either stance regardless.

However, the similarities often end there. A board designed for aggressive kicker- and pipe-slaying will probably have a powerful camber profile and be pretty stiff to boot, but jibbers should be looking for something softer and less likely to hang up on a rail.
There are no hard-and-fast rules, however. When the ‘lympics rolls around, we fully expect to see all kinds of boards at play on the slopestyle course, depending on what that rider prefers.
