Above: Nitro Bindings. Not interested in playing it safe with the colourways.
Nitro have been serving steaming hot stuff on a platter since 1989, and their product line for 2019/2020 is, of course, no different. Eye catching designs, genuine innovation and unusual shapes is what it’s all about for these legends. The graphics from Nitro this year were some of our absolute favourites, and we’re stoked to see some of these on the hill come next season.
The Quiver range of boards designed by Bryan Fox and Austin Smith are truly insane, with the biggest coming in at a cool 203cm. The pow surfing and hard carving options from these boards leaves the mind boggling, and we cannot wait to give them a go. Snowboarding is meant to be fun… a wild concept I know, and this range of boards really resonates with that concept. Grab a board, a few buddies and go buckwild on the hill and remember why you fell in love with riding in the first place. With bold colour choices- (pink to make the boys wink) you’ll definitely stand out from the crowd when riding one of these badboys.

All that glitters is gold, and our beady little eyes were drawn to the binding made for Sven Thorgren’s epic gold medal lifestyle. Unfortunately, not released to the public, but grab a can of glitter spray paint and a brand new Nitro Team Pro binding and fill your boots I say… A sort of mash up between the Team and the Phantom bindings, it offers a slightly stronger flex and a more responsive feel.
Nitro have previously released clothing on two separate fronts, but now they’re going to be merging their popular L1 clothing line with Nitro clothing and focusing their efforts on the one brand.
On the boot front, Nitro have started working with BOA which can only strengthen their line, and will make them accessible to a wider audience. Also new for 2019, you have the Bianca TLS, which is set to be a high-end women’s boot, comparable to their top of the line mens boots, and why shouldn’t the girls have such a beast to work with too?
Now, I’m not saying that you’ll start riding like Markus Kleveland, Eero Ettala, or Benny Urban if you pop on a Nitro board, but the common denominator between these guys is that they all ride Nitro, so make of that what you will.
