Back in December of last year, Nike Snowboarding brought a tight-knit crew consisting of Jamie Nicholls, Ethan Morgan and Kevin Backström to the rail mecca that is Iceland, to explore the country for spots and log shots for their various film projects. As Jamie’s first ever proper urban trip, he absolutely smashed it and judging by these shots you’d be forgiven for thinking that he’d grown up in Quebec or Helsinki rather than snow-less Halifax. Watch as he shuts down a straight down rail in a sleepy suburban street with almost every trick in the book (don’t miss his mind boggling backlip 270 out). Ethan of course kills it as well and it’s rad to see the two feeding off each other here.
With all the snow in the UK at the moment we’re sure that many of you will be able to relate to the work and planning that goes into setting up an urban spot. Now that Jamie’s had a taster (and has been lucky enough to make it back to the homeland to get some #ukshred in as well), we hope we’ll be seeing much more urban footage from our lad in the future!
Whitelines ran the full story of this trip in our recent issue 104 – it’s well worth a read if you want to find out a little more about what went down on the trip – you can read the full article here.
