Who Is The Nidecker Trinity For?

Women that want to spend their time shredding rather than messing about with laces.

Shell & Outsole

The Trinity’s shell feels very well made. It’s constructed from tough waterproof material throughout, with a reinforced backstay and a 3D molded tongue to ensure these boots will provide good support that won’t collapse any time soon. There’s a flexible articulated zone near the ankle which allows the boot to bend naturally rather than crease.

Tightening is done via twin Boa dials. The dial on the front controls the upper part of the boot; the one on the side controls the forefoot. This allows you to fine-tune the fit way better than the original single-dial system; in fact they’re nearly as customisable as old fashioned laces – but way, way quicker. The steel cables you might be familiar with from Boa have also been upgraded to thin textile laces that look and feel a lot nicer.

The all-rubber B.F.T Gravity outsole gives the Trinity a sneaker-like look and is made to absorb impacts from kickers and rails, while the chunky tread helps you grip on the hike back up (or the walk back through the village).

Liner

Unfortunately you don’t get a heat moldable liner with the Trinity (we guess they had to save money somewhere to bring it in at this price point) but it’s anatomically designed, with an effective inner lacing system that tightens a harness to eliminate any heel lift. The footbed is fleece-lined for comfort and features a silicone top-print for added grip.

Roundup

Nidecker are one of the most experienced board builders in the business, but since they took over Flow a couple of years back their boot range has gone from strength to strength. The Trinitys are a great example; they’re comfy and well made yet they won’t break the bank. These will suit a lot of riders out there, especially if you’re looking to enjoy the convenience of Boa, and in the grey/gum colourway they’re particularly gorgeous.
