Once again Canada is smiling smugly down at us from its snowy peaks. Yes, the resorts at Banff Lake Louise were buzzing yesterday after an unexpected snowstorm dumped over 20cm, that’s eight whole inches, of snow and there’s still more to come. With only one month to go until the resorts open, and what with it being one of the longest seasons in North America it’s looking like its going to be a pretty rad season for the Canucks. So, if you’re scratching your heads about where to head this winter or what a Canuck is, here are the resort’s opening dates:
Mt. Norquay: Halloween weekend
The Lake Louise Ski Area: November 5
Sunshine Village: November 11
There are many exciting developments for 2010-11 at all three resorts, including the new Skier/Boardercross and Burton Learn to Ride at The Lake Louise Ski Area, the new Strawberry Express Quad and Creekside Restaurant at Sunshine Village, and 85th birthday celebrations at Mt. Norquay.
