The Never Summer Proto Type Two has had a revamp this year, coming out as the upgraded all singing, all dancing Proto Synthesis. With a brand new shape this all-mountain ripper is ready to take on everything you throw at it. Like a hungry shark the Synthesis is constantly moving forward and evolving to its environment.
It now features their new Shockwave Rocker Camber profile with more camber than ever before, while shortening the smaller rocker section in between the feet. This large camber section means it’s great for edge hold and transferring power from heel to toe whilst the smaller rocker section still maintains float in the deep stuff allowing for super easy turn initiation.

NS has fitted carbon stringers cross bracing between the feet, the result is a torsional rigidity, that’ll help slingshot you into your next turn. They’ve also chucked their Recluse Web Carbon Layup to stiffen the nose and tail helping to keep your ollies high and your presses long.
The tech coming out of Never Summer’s R&D lab is nothing short of space age, they’ve got systems in place for absolutely every eventuality. Increased dampening has been added in the tips and through the midbody for a smoother ride when you’re charging around choppy pistes but this doesn’t take away from the poppy playfulness you get from the cambered sections.

They have really gone the whole hog with the size range too, 11 sizes to choose from, from 149 – 162 with wide and extra wide models. This board is a one stop shop for the whole mountain, if you want to weave through tree lines, take sunny park laps or charge down steep faces, this board should be right there with you.
