Jackson, WY (January 25, 2020) – Today The Natural Selection Tour announces ten more rider names along with exciting wild card and people’s choice competitions for the final spots on the Tour’s inaugural season. These riders will come together starting next week to compete in the Tour opening, the YETI Natural Selection at Jackson Hole as it debuts live, exclusively on Red Bull TV for two prime days during the contest’s February 3-9 weather window.

Throughout the tour, riders will be competing on the planet’s most exciting natural and naturally-enhanced terrain in Jackson Hole, WY, before heading north to the Natural Selection Baldface Lodge. Top finishers will square off on Alaska’s unmatched peaks at the HempFusion Natural Selection at Tordrillo Mountain Lodge, where the best men’s and women’s all-mountain freestyle riders will be crowned in late March.

Mikkel Bang, Hana Beaman, Victor de La Rue, Anna Gasser, Eric Jackson, Hailey Langland, Pat Moore, Blake Paul, Werni Stock and Austen Sweetin have graciously accepted invitations to join the Natural Selection Tour. They will join Elias Elhardt, Ben Ferguson, Sage Kotsenburg, Nils Mindnich, Mark McMorris, Chris Rasman, Travis Rice and Gigi Rüf on the men’s side and Jamie Anderson, Marion Haerty, Elena Hight and Robin Van Gyn dropping in for the women.

“The level of talent and experience coming together here is impressive,” said Travis Rice, pro snowboarder. “The wildcard edits are robust to say the least! I’m especially grateful that riders of this calibre took time to edit these together and I feel for the committee and all of you who will have to somehow pick favourites from the clips. It isn’t easy but it sure is awesome! We are psyched to democratize some of the process! Let the people speak as the Natural Selection is going down with the arrival of Feb!”

That leaves two spots up for grabs with a final male and female rider able to receive an official Natural Selection Tour invite from the Tour’s Nomination Committee and Red Bull. Snowboarding icons including Jake Blauvelt, Manuel Diaz, Danny Davis, Yuka Fujimori, John Jackson, Sammy Luebke, Bode Merrell, Mary Rand, Jason Robinson, Zoi Sadowski-Synnott and Stale Sandbech have submitted one-minute montages of their best backcountry freestyle riding to prove why the final men’s and women’s spots should be theirs based on progression, creativity, line choice, style, energy, and overall impression.

Submissions are now live and voting has begun at www.redbull.com/NSTwildcard, where people can watch the videos and cast votes for the People’s Choice winner. Both the men’s and women’s wild card winners and the People’s Choice winners, who will be next in line if a spot were to open, will be announced on January 29 on the wild card page. The full winning clips will post on Red Bull and Natural Selection social channels.

With a mission to inspire a global audience to forge a deeper relationship with the outdoors, the Natural Selection Tour aims to make a difference on a larger scale. To further bolster the Tour’s mission, Red Bull will award each of the wild card winners $2,500 to donate to an environmentally focused non-profit organization of their choice.

A manifestation of Travis Rice’s wildest dreams, the Tour’s innovative format will reveal riders’ full creative expression and require a deep knowledge of backcountry conditions to reign supreme. All events will run within seven-day windows to ensure that the terrain is in peak season conditions.
