Is there any form of snowboarding purer than a banked slalom? We think not. No one is contesting whether that triple was landed cleanly, no one’s complaining that the Method is a lost art form and most importantly it’s split into age categories so the 13 year old wunderkind isn’t gonna be able to clean sweep and embarrass everyone.
The Montafon Banked Slalom had its 9th edition this year, hosted by Deeluxe, and it was a one for the books. Over 200 riders, from as young as 10, flocked to Montafon to leave it all on the course and prove that they’ve got what it takes to wipe the floor with the competition.
