How rad would it be if you could get to the end of a day’s shredding, and instead of having to pack up and come down you could stay up the hill? You’d be up before even the earliest-rising punters, and you’d basically have the whole mountain to yourself. Pretty cool eh?
Well, that was the idea behind the Nike 6.0-funded Marco’s Mansion project. Using their clout (and their cash), the brand built an igloo up on the glacier in Austrian rider Marco Smolla’s home resort of Solden, then invited a whole bunch of Europe’s best riders to come and shred it. And then stay the night and shred it again the next morning! Check out the highlights of the two day session in this video, which includes some damn stylish riding on the million-or-so different lines over the igloo. Oh and check out the dude wearing the Whitelines Beanie at 1.21 – bet that helps with those minus 10 temperatures eh? ;-)
