Here’s a snowboard that does what it says on the tin. No fuss, no frills, just steamrolling everything in its path, the Terrain Wrecker is the kind of snowboard you can strap into on any day of the season safe in the knowledge that it has your back.

With so many funky models and shapes in the Lib Tech range (see Travis Rice’s Orca pod or the Lib x Lost Rocket line) it’s quite refreshing to have a snowboard that is pretty traditional in terms of shaping and construction. That’s not to say it’s boring though, but the Terrain Wrecker is more workhorse than show pony.

Who Is The Lib Tech Terrain Wrecker For?

You’re an intermediate and up rider who loves blasting around, smashing through chop and chunder, boosting off features and generally having a jolly old time on your snowboard.

Shape, Profile and Sidecut

There’s no taper or setback to speak of, between the contact points everything feels just like a twin, with a balanced ride that’ll rip in either direction with ease. However, the blunted tail and slightly elongated nose work with the central rocker to offer a bit of extra float in deeper snow but won’t inhibit switch on the hardpack like a traditional directional board.

East coast riders especially will appreciate the increased grip and solid edge hold thanks to Lib’s serrated Magne-Traction, add this to the dual underfoot camber pockets and you’ve got a lively and dynamic snowboard that’s primed for getting down and dirty.

Construction and Materials

Internally the Terrain Wrecker doesn’t have all the space age tech you find in some other Lib Tech snowboards, but it can still pack a punch when it needs to. Its OP construction blends Aspen and Paulownia with Birch sitting down the edges, boosting power and helping to lock you in when you’re carving.

The Eco-Sublimated TNT Base isn’t as fast as others on the market, but fitting the Terrain Wrecker’s workhorse reputation it’s durable, low maintenance and doesn’t require as much waxing so you can ride day after day with less faffing around.

Roundup

Once again, the Terrain Wrecker is adorned with artwork from Yorkshire’s finest paint slinger Schoph, who’s brooding stained glass work is sure to make the Terrain Wrecker stand out from the crowd.
