Lib Tech Jamie Lynn Titty Fish 2018-2019 Snowboard Review

UPDATE: Check out our review of the 2019/2020 Lib Tech Titty Fish here

We’re not sure what happened in Jamie Lynn’s life to leave him fixated with blue boobs (best guess: a visit to an Alaskan strip club during a particularly chilly winter), but they’ve been a feature of his art for over two decades.

We thought he’d reached Peak Mammary with 2014/15’s Lib Tech Deflower, but perhaps the fact that his twin muses have made it into the actual board name makes the Lib Tech Titty Fish a strong contender for the crown.

“The tapered outline helps with keeping the board afloat in deeper snow, as does the curious nose shape”

To give it its full name, the Lib Tech Jamie Lynn Phoenix Titty Fish snowboard is primarily built for the backcountry. If you like the look of this but are wanting more of an all-rounder, the Lib Tech Phoenix Dagmar should be the go-to.

The tapered outline helps with keeping the board afloat in deeper snow, as does the curious nose shape. Normally a crescent cutaway like that is found on the tail (eg. the Jones Hovercraft, but Team Lib reckon that this really works, especially when you’re making pow turns.

The core is three-quarters Aspen, one-quarter paulownia, so you know it’ll be strong yet light. Surprisingly, the Lib Tech Titty Fish has the simplest of the brand’s five build layups, unlike most of their pro models.

Still, there’s no one aspect of its construction that feels sub-standard, so the chances are you’ll be just as happy with it as Jamie is.

Tester’s Verdict

Jon Birdldmountaincentre.com

“Jamie Lynn’s Titty Fish is like the Dagmar on steroids, with more aggressive C3 camber, a slightly stiffer flex, and the unmistakable Jamie Lynn artwork graphic.

“It gives you amazing confidence for crushing technical terrain with speed and control”

The Titty Fish is a powerful snowboard that was awesome to ride. It gives you amazing confidence for crushing technical terrain with speed and control.

At home on piste or in deep powder, the Titty Fish is great choice for the high-end freerider who demands board performance whatever terrain they’re on. An aggressive snowboard for an aggressive rider.”
