We reported it on here last month, but now we can all finally get a good look at Katie Ormerod’s double cork 10, a world’s first for a female rider!
And boy is it a good one! Rather than flaking out on the first attempt Katie hammers into it, over rotating and almost going round to a triple, slower on the next attempt yeah?
Then seemingly on the next attempt she gets it round to her feet and rides away, proper stoked as you would be! All lovingly filmed by the clever guys at Life Cinematic.
It comes at the end of a rad season for Katie – she rounded out the contest circuit by taking first at the World Rookie Tour finals before the double cork announcement was made.
Pretty good considering she’s only 16, and with the next Olympics in four years time she’ll be at her peak in Pyeongchang.
And with a style our editor has compared to Jamie Anderson‘s it can’t be too much to believe she might be in contention for the medals, especially if she can put this down in contest? Here’s to the future, and congrats Katie!
