It’s no secret that your boots are the most important bit of kit you’ll be picking up, so it pays off to make sure you’ve got something that fits you properly. K2 use their heat mouldable Intuition Foam liner to personalise the fit of your boot, eliminating dead zones and hot spots of pressure.

There will always be a debate about the best way to lace up your boots, be it traditional laces, quick lace or BOA, but at the end of the day it’s a personal preference. K2 use BOA on the Maysis as a quick and easy option, they can be tightened in seconds and adjusted on the fly. A second BOA locks in specifically round the ankle, putting paid to heel lift and ensuring a snug fit.

The mid-stiff flex and semi articulated cuff allow you to drive power through your heelside turns, with a bit more playfulness through the toes if you want to tweak and poke through the terrain park.

The 3D formed EVA foam footbed cups the pad of fat underneath your heel, giving you an extra (au-natural) bit of cushioning for big landings and day to day comfort. This support underfoot really comes into its own during long days on the hill. All-new for 2021 is the rubber outsole, designed to grip on even the iciest carpark or more slippery bar floor.
