Who Is The K2 Freeloader Split For?

This board is built for your all-mountain explorer, the yeti of the group who wants to make the first tracks up the mountain and the first lines down. The Freeloader split board is catered to advanced boarders due to the stiff flex, ICG 20 Carbon Glass and super-fast carbon-infused sintered base

Shape, Profile and Sidecut

In true freeride style this board has a directional shape created with a tapered tail and directional profile, giving you the best performance when the nose of the board is traveling forward in both directions.

Camber underfoot provides power and pop for a lively feeling whilst rocker at the tips gives you creative freedom to spin, land and ride switch. Rocker is elongated at the nose, increasing lift and glide in power ideal for touring and powder runs.

The shape and profile of the Freeloader sets you free on the mountain, allowing you to explore beyond the piste yet it can still handle aggressive carving down the hardpack.

“With this board you can spend countless hours on the mountain, exploring fresh power lines and still enjoy the piste”

Construction and Materials

Let’s break down the construction of the board to see what’s really going on behind the graphics that makes the Freeloader such a high-performance split board.

Minimal weight is essentials when touring the backcountry, so the board has been equipped with a Paulownia Tour-Lite Core, shaving off 500g of weight. The lighter the ski the less fatigued you will feel, but don’t worry this core is still highly durable to handle the journey down.

Carbon stringers span from the nose to the tail, integrated with the fiberglass layer to create a snappy and responsive board. Whilst having very little impact on the overall weight of the split board.

To finish the board off it’s been fitted with a carbon infused sintered base, sintered bases in general are the toughest and fastest bases available. The addition of carbon steps it up to a whole new level.

“The Freeloader split board is leading the way for faster climbs, steep descends and backcountry adventure”
