Shape, Profile and Sidecut

Point the nose down the hill and let the fun begin. As a directional snowboard shape, it gives you the best performance when the nose it’s traveling forward. This directional shape is created through extra rocker at the tip, carbon power fork in the tail and a 20mm tapered tail. The tapered tail sinks into deep snow adding lift in the nose for backcountry adventures.

Directional Combo profile gives you the benefits of camber and rocker. Camber underfoot with a 0.75” setback gives you increased power, pop and edge to edge transitions, camber is popular for experienced boarders who want to lively board.

If the power is about the Excavator can handle it thanks to the rocker in the nose, adding lift and float over powder. Rather than ploughing through the snow the board glides to prevent you loosing speed.

Overall, the profile is a little chunkier than a standard snowboard meaning you can ride it -5cm shorter than usual, reducing swing weight whilst still providing the same performance as a longer board.

Construction and Materials

Starting in the centre of the board is the core, the Bambooyah Pro Core absorbs vibrations for a smoother and comfortable ride. Although the core is dampening it remains highly responsive. Surrounded with Biax Fiberglass to increase durability whilst retaining torsional flex.

Response comes as second nature to this board thanks to carbon stringers than run from the nose to the tail. Carbon drives power through the board and increases durability, however the placement of the stringers means torsional twist isn’t impacted. Sometimes one carbon feature isn’t enough, the K2 Excavator features a Carbon Power Fork in the tail to add pop and snap for ollies. Even more carbon is infused into the sintered base to create the faster and hardest base possible. Absorbing wax like a sponge the base keeps you gliding for longer and reduces drag.

“Packed with carbon from the nose to the tail the Excavator is responsive, durable and snappy to give you a high-performance snowboard”

Jonny Russell

“The board that changes your idea of what “freestyle” traditionally is. For the rider that has to slash every fresh pocket of snow. Lay down a eurocarve on every fresh patch of the groomer. Ollie over every slow sign (stranded skier). A powerhouse of a snowboard for the rider that can rip our most advanced tech all over the mountain. ”
