What is it with all of the Whistler edits today? We’ve just been sent this ‘Sponsor Me’ edit from British rider Jonny Pickup, sending it good and proper in the terrain parks of Whistler Blackcomb. We can’t say we’ve heard of Jonny before but apparently this edit represents a mere 9 months on a snowboard and if he continues to improve at this rate we reckon we’ll be hearing a lot more of him in the future.

Jonny is looking to Pickup (sorry, we couldn’t resist) a few extra sponsors in addition to his Goomama skate/snowboard shop hook up and with those corked backside 7’s and frontside boardslides through double kinks, we don’t think Jonny will be staying unsponsored for too long. An unfortunate injury to his MCL prevented him from hitting Blackcomb’s highest level park, but with two seasons under his belt and the irresistible allure of Whistler, there’s no doubt the 19 year old will be back out there in no time.

Could Jonny be the next Charlie Idda, who famously got hooked up by Yes snowboards after uploading his Sponsor Me video to Whitelines sessioning the very same resort?
