It seems that things have finally come to a head between two of snowboarding’s greats, as big mountain Jeremy Jones and newly signed Nitro member Jeremy Jones have decided to call time on the name confusion once and for all…
Opting to battle out their grievances on the world’s stage, the two Joneses have booked out Madison Square Gardens for the 1st of April, where they’ll decide in a 12 round bout who will retain the name. Contracts have already been signed obliging the losing party to legally change their name by April 5th.
“Neither of us has any intention of quitting snowboarding any time soon, and we’re just fed up of getting post sent to the wrong address” said one Jeremy, “Last week alone I had five sets of splitboard skins and some prototype rotating bindings turn up on my door. I think I’m starting to lose it…”
“We know boxing and snowboarding don’t often collide” commented the other, “but it seemed to work for CoinCoin and Iggy Beukers, and we just don’t know where else to turn.”
ESPN will be streaming the fight live for a small fee. Brit Jenny Jones has denied any involvement at this stage, though rumours of a unification bout with Marvel’s Jessica Jones continue.
