After months of teasing with behind the scenes footage, interviews, hilarious practical jokes and casual product endorsement, Jeremy Jones has dropped the second, and presumably ‘official,’ trailer for Further – the follow up to last year’s freeride epic Deeper. The sequel sees Jeremy Jones venture, well, Further into largely unridden backcountry terrain in the Japanese Alps, Atomfjella Mountains (Norway), Karwendel Range (Austria), Wrangell Mountains (Alaska) and Sierra Mountains (California).
We were treated to an initial trailer back in October but since then, and much to our disappointment, it seems that the rider list has shrunk somewhat, with the notable absence of Nicolas Muller, DCP and Xavier De Le Rue. We have no idea why (perhaps Jeremy’s plans were just too gnarly? We doubt it though), but plans change and riders of that calibre are busy dudes.
Despite this, and if you can put up with more of Jeremy’s distinctive drawl, this teaser for Further makes it look every bit as ambitious as it’s predecessor. And as you’d expect there’s plenty of splitboard hiking, talk of peril, shots of things not quite going to plan, massive avalanches and some incredible freeriding.
In a word? Epic.
