Jack Labbett Becomes the UK’s Tim Humphreys

The kid has a deep bag of tricks and buckets of style to complement them.

Jack Labbett is one of the UK’s most underrated rail riders – from stunning everyone with this edit back in 2012 that brought comparisons with his riding style to Charlie Idda to accepting and demolishing tricks set down for him by Billy Morgan – the kid not only has a deep bag of tricks, but buckets of style to complement them.

This latest shows him playing with his GoPro, aping the filming style of Tim Humphreys but throwing down on dryslope, way harder than any than anyone currently stationed on Mt Hood would have you believe.

You’d be hard pressed to figure out which way he rides naturally, he’s one of those riders gifted with the abilty to make switch look regular, and as for spins on and off rails – pretzel or same way he might as well have his hands in his pockets.

This author has seen him cruise through rutted French parks like he’s on Valium and stomp 20 foot plus cliff drops on one of his first forays into powder.

The music choice perfectly accompanies his lazy, half asleep style, begging the question as to why he hasn’t been snapped up by some big players yet. Some may say it’s beacause he spends his time buried away in secretive New Forest dryslope bunkers, but this author has seen him cruise through rutted French parks like he’s on Valium and stomp 20 foot plus cliff drops on one of his first forays into powder – the real proving ground for natural talent.

Believe me when I say it: you will see more of Jack Labbett in the years to come. He’s going places, and he will be unstoppable.
