Isle of Snow | Wolle Nyvelt Full Part

We drop Wolle's part from the latest Absinthe masterpiece...

Last year Absinthe released their latest cinematic masterpiece ‘Isle of Snow’ to rave reviews. The 20th in their collection, it’s an exploration of snowboarding – past, present and future. They delve into the psyche of a snowboarder exploring what makes them tick, where they’re happiest and examining why snowboarding means so much to them.

“It blends the old school with the nouveau, the grizzled veterans with the hungry next generation, the urban playground with the limitless backcountry”

Isle of Snow features a diverse cast of riders, it’s a melting pot of different experiences and backgrounds. It blends the old school with the nouveau, the grizzled veterans with the hungry next generation, the urban playground with the limitless backcountry and the result is a complete hammer fest.

Wolfgang Nyvelt is a man who needs no introduction, a stalwart in the Austrian scene and beyond, he’s put out more banger video parts than we’ve had hot dinners. A Mayrhofen local, he’s been flying the flag for the Zillertal since the beginning and is a card carrying member of Die Ästhetiker. With a deep bag of tricks and an unwavering style, Herr Nyvelt is an undisputed legend in the game. One of the original style masters on the continent, Wolle’s been throwing down smoking hot parts with Absinthe since the beginning.

“Together, they championed the ‘no bindings, no problem’ movement and completely revolutionised what it means to ride powder”

In 2006 Wolle started Äsmo with longtime buddy Steve Gruber and they’ve been producing the worlds finest powsurfers ever since. Together, they championed the ‘no bindings, no problem’ movement and completely revolutionised what it means to ride powder. Drawing influence from both surfing and skating they’ve created a line of products that will expand your horizons tenfold.

Isle of Snow was filmed across Austria, Canada, Japan, Switzerland and the USA.

Absinthe films also recently launched their new ‘Absinthe Channel’, which represents the past, present, and future of the five genres that appeal most to us: snow/skate/surf/art/music. It is a continuous 24-hour channel with VOD options and comes pre-programmed on all Samsung smart TVs since generation 2016, and is available in Austria, Germany, Switzerland and Great Britain for starters, with France, Italy, Spain and Russia being next. Pretty rad if you ask us!

Make sure to get the ‘Absinthe Channel’, as ‘Isle of Snow’ is available to watch on there too.
