Here’s a different perspective on the monster avalanche that was set off last year by a bunch of bored Russian soldiers bombarding a mountainside with heavy artillery. We’ve seen a fair bit of avalanche footage in our time and by and large, when they travel over distances as large as this, they usually run out of steam by the time they reach the cameraman – ending up as nothing more than a spot of thick, foggy weather. Not this one though – the sound that that thing’s making by the time it reaches the cameraman suggests that it’s still got a decent amount of oomph left in it… and check out the purpleish flash at 00:49 as the snow shorts the power cables! Now I don’t know about you but I sure as hell wouldn’t be sat there filming when something mildly resembling a nuclear dust cloud was hurtling towards me – let alone laughing and jeering about it! We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again: Russians are bloody mental (particularly bored Russians armed with heavy weaponry apparently).
