This short but sweet little instructional video takes you through the new splitboard system from K2 snowboards.
The Pacific Northwest brand claim that their new kit – which involves specialist boots that clip in the changeable bindings – is “the fastest and lightest” system ever designed. Hence the choice of name for it: Kwicker.
While some things about Kwicker (like the interface between boots and bindings) are completely new, it does share a lot in common with other splitboard systems.
The split binding “pucks” which hold the bindings into place for example, the binding risers for going up hill and the splitboard crampon system for when the going gets really tough and icy.
Having said that though, this dude does make this one look particularly easy – and how sick does that run down at the end look?
