Horizon Festival announces midnight forest raves

Can’t really go too far wrong with that can you?

Horizon Festival, the brand new event that combines beats, bass and snowboarding in the Bulgarian resort of Bansko, looks like its gearing up to be a hell on an event.

They hit us up again recently to let us know about the latest addition to their program: Two “Midnight Raves” that will take place on the Monday and Wednesday nights of the week long festival, which runs from 23rd to 29th of March.

Somehow the organisers have persuaded the resort of Bansko to let a whole bunch of ravers back up the mountain on the last gondola of the day, at 5pm.

At the top, the festival-goers will be ushered to a “stunning, secret” forest location, where they will be entertained late into the night by a seriously sick line-up of electronic artists, including the likes of Leofah, Wookie, Crazy P and Dark Sky.

In our heads the “secret forest location” looks a bit like the elf kingdom out of Lord of the Rings. But with less choral music and more gabba techno, obviously.

After they get done with some serious getting down, ravers will obviously need to err… get down, so a torch-lit procession will wind its way back down the piste into town, where the partying will no doubt continue well into the wee hours.

Sounds alright, doesn’t it? To get yourself out there and in a position to join the midnight ravers book yourself a ticket from Horizon Festival’s website here.

Oh, and do yourself a favour and listen to this classic tune to get yourself in the mood. It’s Friday after all.
