With so much snow that the mountain had to close, other entertainment had to be found. There’s a lot of entertainment to be found in Italy, from burning around on Vespas to throwing souvenir models of Milan Cathedral at randy politicians. However, according to Sylvain, there was really only ever one choice:

“The night before was David [Vladyka]’s birthday – so of course, we had to drink”.

Indeed. It looks like no-one was all that fresh the next day, but there’s no better cure than a pow day…. And it may also explain why Sylvain’s patter was so rubbish in another recent web edit – we expect he was hanging then too!
