With his pioneering Alaskan shredding, Mike Basich has often been ahead of his time. And not just with his riding, either; for the last 15 years – since way back when Instagram and the iPhone were beyond the wildest dreams of even the most preening egomaniac – he was snapping himself regularly, both via remote cameras and at good ol’ arm’s length. Having amassed a huge collection, he’s decided to get the best ones made up into a book.
His Kickstarter is live, and he’s looking for a cool $3000 in order to get his 130-page tome made. Perks include limited-edition canvases of the ‘Monster Yeti’ shot seen above, and also this famous heli-drop pic taken with a remote camera – possibly the most famous snowboard selfie ever?
