Seriously, why is it always Russians? Along with this video of terrible Russian driving, this insanely narrow escape feels like something we’ve seen more than a couple of times before. It can only be all that Vodka in their blood…

As you can probably work out, “Blyet” is used in a very similar way as our delightful F-word – but the fact that he doesn’t start swearing (and swerving for that matter!) any sooner suggests that he wasn’t paying much attention to the road either. Pffft! Hats off to him for that recovery though. If you look closely at the back of the parked truck at 00:16 you’ll see that the guy at the pumps wasn’t the only one to have a lucky escape – talk about a rude awakening!

One of the choice YouTube comments that we’ve seen on the various versions of this video read something along the lines of: “Just what do you have to do in Russia to get a petrol station to go up in a glorious ball of flame?” – if they continue driving like this, probably not a whole lot more!
