2012 was an epic year to snowboard in Alaska with a record amount of snow and some of the best conditions in recent memory. Patagonia riders Forrest Shearer, Ryland Bell, Josh Dirksen and Alex Yoder decided to make the most of it and travelled out to Juneau – the region in Alaska where Ryland Bell grew up. Once there, the crew explore a quiet little island and hike and slash the wide open powder faces to their hearts’ content. There are some mesmerising shots in this and while many of us won’t be riding out in Alaska this season, it shouldn’t take too much of a stretch of the imagination to picture ourselves in similar situations out in the Alps. Lets get out there and get amongst it eh?!
