The Live has been a staple in Endeavor’s line since day one and has huge mass appeal for many reasons. Firstly, it comes in a whopping thirteen unisex sizes, so there’s likely to be a perfect fit for about 90% of snowboarders out there. More importantly, though, is the construction itself. It’s has cracked the Holy Trinity of profile, shape and sidecut, to create a proper snowboarder’s snowboard.
It’s definitely one for the more experienced riders out there who demand uncompromising, dynamic, and powerful performance. A traditional camber, directional twin shape and eight metre long sidecut will be music to many rider’s ears. It has the look and feel of a steely, ice-cold killer, and in the hands of the wrong operator, that’s exactly what it will feel like, too.

All-mountain freeriding is definitely the Live’s first order of business. The board’s personality only starts to shine at higher speeds when it’s getting worked. The lightweight poplar and birch core is sandwiched between triax fibreglass sheets which add to its snappy responsive feel.
However, it’s the addition of carbon stringers from each insert out to the nose and tail’s contact points that really brings the Live to life. Not only does this provide you with a tonne of pop and supercharge the ends of the board, it also helps to keep the ends from flapping like a fledging bird. Lastly, the addition of Smoothride urethane sidewalls gives the board a feeling of being bubble wrapped in dampening properties.
In between the Channel inserts, the board has a little more torsional forgiveness, so it’s not out of the realms of possibility for stronger riders to still get creative with their butters and freestyle riding. Horses for courses, though. Don’t buy a thoroughbred if you’re scared of getting bucked off.
