Hailing from the Swedish mountain Mecca Åre, Eivy creates high-quality female snowboard clothing to brighten up our days. The brand’s signature styles and colourways stand out from the rest, and for 20/21 a few products are getting an upgrade – including the Eivy Icecold base layer.

For this season, Eivy’s gone back to their roots by focusing on creating fun and unusual prints and designs that work as well on the mountain as they do during them all-important post-shred beers. The brand has always been a firm believer in the sustainable ways of doing things, using a water-free printing method to give colour to their clothes.

Even if the water-free way of colouring is good for Mother Nature, it doesn’t normally allow mad creativity to take place. For 20/21 the brand has, however, had the chance to improve this method of colouring – giving them the possibility to print more detailed and saturated colours with fabric penetration.

Dark colours have been a struggle to produce when using the non-water colouring process, but, with the improved technology, Eivy’s now offering a black and white colourway, the Ivy Flower (with Ivy flowers on the print). Another new design for 20/21 is the Granny’s Couch. As the name implies, it’s a mishmash of colourful flowers (just like the sofa at old Granny Doris’s crib).

This base layer garment isn’t just snazzy looking, it’s also got moisture-wicking abilities and UPF 50+ while the four-way stretch fabric sits nice and tight next to your skin. There’s also a nifty little collar hood you can put up for extra protection for the head and neck, whilst the mid-high waisted leggings have an internal pocket where you can stash your valuables.

On top of that, every Eivy base layer comes in a matching bag made out of recyclable fabric.
