What’s your hero story going forward into the 2021/22 season?
The RVX goggle goes into its second year for 21’ having been really well received this year both at retail and on the hill even despite the “situation”.

A classic Dragon tear-drop silhouette brought bang up to date with our new Swiftlock 2.0 lens changing system and compatible with glasses, in my mind it’s the best goggle we’ve done so far and is still unmistakably Dragon.

What product are you personally most stoked on?
Personally, I’m also stoked on our new DXT goggle, aimed at the teenage band as it’s slightly smaller and fuss free with a traditional lens changing system, clean styling and some really strong strap stories, 14-year-old Mia Brookes is definitely a fan. Borrowing design language from our from our fastest growing DX3 style in a slightly smaller silhouette it’s sure to be a winner at retail and in resorts.

Where are we seeing innovation within your existing line?
As well as the Swiftlock 2.0 mentioned above and our proven Lumalens technology (which is standard in every lens) we continue to develop our strap textures, treatments and logo applications. Get your hands on a Dragon goggle and notice/touch/feel the strap, you’ll see no one else is doing as much as we are in this regard.

“Gigi Ruf, Bryan Iguchi, Danny Davis, Forest Bailey and now Kimmy Fasani all have signature models for ’21”

Is there an overall theme / inspiration driving your 21/22 line?
Our team is paramount to the brand DNA and this is reflected in the many signature series models we offer; Gigi Ruf, Bryan Iguchi, Danny Davis, Forest Bailey and now Kimmy Fasani all have signature models for ’21 and all reflect either their artwork, creativity and/or thought process. The team have complete freedom to make their mark on their chosen model.

You’ll also notice common themes throughout our model range; block colour ways, throwbacks to some of our older logos, a ‘mineral’ theme and plenty more…

Covid has shaken up everything this year. Are there any big changes taking place with you guys ahead of next season?

21’ will see a new injection of European team riders and see us continuing to work with those who have stuck with the brand in that precarious year of 2020.
We’ve signed Ludvig Billtoft (Scandalnavians 2 Movie ender), Lena Stoffel (all-mountain bad ass skier, rider & filmmaker), Niklas Mattsson (Laax Open 21’ Slopestyle winner), Mons Roisland (recent X Games double medallist). Will Smith & Wolle Nyvelt continue to fly the flag in the streets and the backcountry respectively whilst UK talent Mia Brookes moves up to the European Team after a stand-out season so far.

“The use of plant-based resin helps reduce Dragon’s carbon footprint”

Do you have any new sustainability stories for next season? Has any of your production moved to become more sustainable?

All our sunglasses are now made using plant-based resin. Plant-based resin is a bio-based plastic made from castor bean oil, a highly resilient and renewable alternative to standard petroleum-based plastics. The use of plant-based resin helps reduce Dragon’s carbon footprint, while providing the same lightweight, durable quality that Dragon eyewear is known for.
