All winter long you’ve heard from people about how shitty this season has been in Europe, how the snowfall has been below average once again, that there’s been next to no powder to be had, but for those that put the effort in, this year has given up the goods just as much as any other.
Dom Harington is one of those. After years of relentless training and competing to get to Sochi, he eased off the contest pedal only to put his foot down in the backcountry, clocking up miles and miles of freshies even though the Northern Alps were most definitely at low tide.
This is one day in Avoriaz, in April. Just goes to show, if you make the effort, you’ll get the reward.
